Tracy Tran earned her Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Biology from the University of California, Davis. After moving to New York City, she received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from SUNY Downstate Medical Center. She has clinical experience in working with many diagnoses ranging from spinal cord injuries to post-surgical care to repetitive stress injuries. Her background in both acute rehabilitation and outpatient orthopedics gave her an opportunity to view injuries in different stages. This in turn gave her a better understanding of recovery.
Tracy is fascinated with the fine motor patterns we use in our daily life and how they can contribute to long-term pathologies much later on. A strong believer in a holistic approach to physical therapy, she understands that recovery requires not just rest and strengthening but also addressing postural deviations and incorporating prevention care. All this combined with clinical-based evidence is how she gets her patients functionally back to where they want to be again.
Tracy grew up in a family of tennis players and has been playing since she was 12 years old. Now she tries to stay active with hiking, Zumba and running but is easily bored of routine and is always looking for creative ways to get in a workout.
