Stephen Yanchus, PT, DPT, TPI Level 1

Physical Therapist

Stephen earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from Ithaca college in Upstate NY, where he graduated with honors, minoring in Exercise Science. A four-sport athlete in high school, Stephen played three years of baseball at Ithaca. After undergrad he completed clinical affiliations in New York, Pennsylvania, South Carolina and lastly in Arizona, where he worked at the Cleveland Indians Rehabilitation facility for 12 weeks, mainly with pitchers dealing with shoulder, elbow, and other arm related injuries.

Stephen combines his manual skills and extensive exercise background with the best evidence-based research to help his patients return to their specific functional goals. He utilizes a “person first” approach, getting to know exactly what people wish to return to doing in their everyday lives. By getting to know the individual, he believes he can tailor his care more specifically to every patient he works with.

His competitive nature not only applies to his desire to assist his clients, but also to working and playing hard, with successful results, in his recreational pursuits that include golf, tennis, baseball, basketball and more. He looks forward to continuing his healthy lifestyle in New York City as he takes advantage of the extraordinary restaurants and sports opportunities in the Big Apple.
