Sheena received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Drexel University. During her first year, Sheena co-founded Drexel’s Pre-PT club which provided resources to students interested in pursuing a career in PT. Sheena participated in a research project titled, “Yoga for Pre-schoolers.” Through this early intervention program, PTs determined the effectiveness of yoga on strength, balance, endurance, and behavior in 4-5 year-olds.
She completed her clinical education in various settings and discovered an immediate affinity for Outpatient Orthopedics. After 10 years of practicing in Outpatient, Sheena has become quite advanced in treating most Orthopedic conditions. She has a particular interest in post-op, return to sport, and preventative rehab. She has developed a holistic approach to patient care, targeting movement pattern dysfunction and incorporating interventions that focus on achieving the highest level of function possible. She has enjoyed taking courses like Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA) that have provided her with the tools to perform a comprehensive exam to address the root cause of pain. Sheena also has advanced training in Kinesiotaping along with Vestibular Rehabilitation.
During her free time, Sheena loves to travel, dance, take on outdoor adventures, spend time with family and friends, and catch up on the latest seasons of her favorite TV shows.
