Shaineya is currently pursuing her Master’s in Exercise Science at Long Island University, Brooklyn after receiving her Bachelor of Physical Therapy degree from Mumbai, India. She is also a Certified Nutrition Coach and a Corrective Exercise Specialist accredited by National Sports Academy of Medicine.
Shaineya has a lot of experience back in India where she has worked in outpatient clinics as well as different wards in hospitals- including the COVID Ward. Working in the COVID ward not only gave her the experience as a cardiopulmonary physical therapist but also helped play a part in saving people’s lives who were suffering from this pandemic. Alongside her clinical background and different patient population, Shaineya has also done research in Oncology Rehabilitation and aims to continue doing it. She uses various different techniques such as an evidence-based approach and manual therapy as well as the mind-muscle connection to bring about effective reduction in patients’ symptoms.
Born and raised in India, Shaineya loves spending time with her loved ones, and in her free time loves to travel, paint, and stay active either playing sports or hitting the gym.
