Sean received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy and Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences from the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia, PA. As a Student Physical Therapist, he completed clinical affiliations in settings throughout New Jersey, Delaware, Illinois, and Pennsylvania. During this time, Sean focused on outpatient orthopedics, outpatient neurological rehab, lymphedema therapy, and oncological acute care. His capstone research centered around vestibular reactions in rotational athletes like ice skaters and martial artists. He has also taken continuing education courses in Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation, pain neuroscience, and physical therapy management of traumatic brain injury.
Since graduating, Sean treated in both outpatient orthopedics and acute rehabilitation, allowing him to work with people of all ability levels. He values an activity-based approach to care, finding what the patient values and co-creating the session based on their interests. The mentality of fostering agency and empowering active participation in the healing process guides his therapy sessions every day.
Outside of the clinic, Sean practices care work, taking time to advocate for marginalized communities and individuals. He has volunteered with the Special Olympics as well as a volunteer organization that provides Physical Therapy services to the uninsured. He enjoys hiking, listening to audiobooks, karaoke, thrift shopping, and spicy noodle soups. He is a Jersey native with a big personality.
