Russell Hu, PT, DPT





Russell graduated from Stony Brook University with his Doctorate in Physical Therapy and received his Bachelor’s of Science in Neuroscience at Binghamton University. During his undergraduate studies, he spent time interning at UHS Binghamton General, BU Sports Medicine, and being president of his cultural student organization, HKES.
Throughout his clinical rotations, Russell experienced working with a diverse patient population from children to elder adults. He has worked with patients recovering from ligament and tendon repairs, joint replacements, and post-surgical fractures. He has assisted patients with neurological diagnoses such as stroke, Parkinson’s disease, neuropathies, and chronic pain syndromes including fibromyalgia. His goals as a physical therapist are to provide tools and knowledge to allow his patients to understand their pain and empower themselves in their rehabilitation.
Russell grew up in Queens and Long Island where he spent his free time playing basketball and handball. He enjoys weightlifting at the gym, hiking, traveling and, spending time with friends and family.
