Rachel graduated with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Massachusetts at Lowell. During her time in the DPT program, she held a position as a Graduate Student Assistant, and served on the Physical Therapy Club Board. She attended Hobart and William Smith Colleges for her undergraduate degree in Dance Performance and Choreography. After graduating from HWS, Rachel danced professionally with a contemporary company in Boston, MA for seven years.
Rachel’s clinical education experiences have been diverse and enriching. She worked in an acute setting with a focus on wound care at a small charity hospital in Montana, where she treated patients with a wide range of conditions. Most notably, Rachel completed a clinical affiliation under the tutelage of Heather Southwick, PT, of Boston Ballet. There, she was privileged to work with the professional dancers of the company both in the studio and backstage. Rachel also has a vested interest in Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy and hopes to certify to treat this population in the near future.
In her spare time, Rachel enjoys remaining active in a variety of ways. Most recently she has taken up running and completed her first half marathon. Additionally, she likes to spend time hiking, dancing and being with family and friends.
