Oscar Chen earned his Doctorate in Physical Therapy and Bachelor of Science degree in Health Sciences from Mercy College. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University at Buffalo. In the final year of his doctorate program, Oscar presented his research poster at the annual American Congress of Rehabilitative Medicine Conference.
While completing his clinical rotations, Oscar gained experience working with individuals of all ages with acute conditions, pre/post orthopedic surgeries, neurological conditions, and chronic pains. His clinical interests include orthopedics, post-surgical rehab, sport-specific training, injury prevention, and athletic performance. His goal as a physical therapist is to improve the human experience through movement and evidence-based practice.
Oscar grew up in Brooklyn and enjoys all of the wonderful things Brooklyn has to offer. When he isn’t in the clinic, he is training for his next powerlifting meet or marathon. Oscar also enjoys reading books, playing golf and Spikeball, exploring America’s national parks, and traveling to new places.
