Niyati graduated with her Doctor of Physical Therapy and Bachelors in Rehabilitation Science from Northeastern University. She was introduced to the world of physical therapy when her grandfather had a stroke and the difference it made in his recovery process, and she was further inspired to become a physical therapist being an athlete herself. As a PT, she looks forward to building lasting relationships with her patients to help them reach their individualized goals.
During her clinical experiences, Niyati has been immersed in a multitude of settings, and most recently in NYC at the Hospital for Special Surgery, giving her the foundation needed for post-op rehab, sports-related and overuse injuries, neurological and geriatric conditions and diagnoses. Niyati is Pelvic Floor Level 1 certified through the APTA and plans on completing the SFMA level 1 certification soon. As a queer individual herself, Niyati also wants to provide support and representation for a safe space for the queer community in need of PT services.
While at Northeastern, Niyati was involved in the newspaper as a basketball reporter, conducted research at the Movement Neuroscience Laboratory, and was president of the South Asian organization.
When not in the clinic, Niyati enjoys watching the Mets, traveling, taking photos, reading a good book, and eating at all the glorious restaurants NYC has to offer.
