Nazia Chowdhury, PT, DPT

Nazia earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Mercy University in Dobbs Ferry, NY after receiving her Bachelors of Science in Biology from St. John’s University. 

Nazia’s interest in physical therapy peaked upon taking a position as an aide at a physical therapy office on a whim. She quickly fell in love with the process of healing that physical therapists embark on with their patients, and knew it was the way in which she wanted to make her impact. Her key strengths are her keen eye for individualized patient care, her holistic approach to treatment and of course, her ability to make people smile. 

She has worked with patients of all ages in outpatient and inpatient settings. Her clinical experiences include general orthopedic conditions, pre and post-operative conditions, fall prevention, sports related injuries, oncologic rehabilitation, and neurological rehabilitation. She also has interests in lymphedema and the pelvic floor, and continues to grow her skill set.

During her time in graduate school, Nazia had the opportunity to participate in a medical mission to the Dominican Republic alongside other medical professionals. She also frequently participated in her school’s pro-bono physical therapy clinic and lead undergraduate anatomy and physiology courses. In her free time, she enjoys spending time outdoors, visiting museums, reading, baking and being alongside her loved ones.
