McKay earned her bachelor’s degree in Health Science Studies from Baylor University in Waco, TX where she was also a member of the Baylor cheerleading team. She earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from UT Southwestern in Dallas, TX before moving to New York to join the Spear USQ team.  

McKay completed 36 weeks of clinical rotations throughout her education in various settings including acute care, orthopedic outpatient clinics, and neurological rehabilitation centers. She has experience with post-surgical patients, return to sport, balance training and fall prevention, and neuromuscular pathologies. McKay enjoys working with patients of all ages, from pediatrics to geriatrics. Throughout these experiences, McKay has been able to hone her approach to physical therapy which is centered around service, empathy, and a passion for working alongside people to help them return to the things that are important to them. McKay has a holistic approach to caring for and advocating for patients in her care, no matter their situation or diagnosis.

Outside of the clinic, McKay enjoys traveling, reading, trying new restaurants, and going to concerts! You will often hear her talking about trips back to Texas to visit family and friends! McKay truly enjoys getting to know her patients and has experienced first-hand how establishing a connection positively impacts the level of care she is able to provide.
