Marlene earned her Master’s in Occupational Therapy from New York University, after graduating summa cum laude from Hunter College with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. Marlene has completed multiple continuing education courses in pelvic health through Herman & Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute including Pelvic Floor 1, 2A, Postpartum Rehabilitation, and Sexual Health in Pelvic Rehabilitation.
As an occupational therapist, Marlene uses a holistic approach to treatment and is passionate about educating and empowering clients about pelvic health. After going through pregnancy and childbirth herself, she realized there was a lot she didn’t know about her own body. Marlene’s treatment focuses on the mind-body connection to promote healing and restore optimal function to the core, pelvic floor, and overall body. She emphasizes active listening and empathy to build trust with her clients, as this relationship is essential to this area of practice.
Marlene has always enjoyed being active, spending time outdoors, and traveling. Growing up, Marlene loved to dance, horseback ride, and water ski. She now enjoys yoga, swimming, hiking, CrossFit, and taking dance classes. She can be found most days spending time with her children, cooking a healthy meal, meditating, or biking around Brooklyn.
