Marianna DeCaro received her Doctor of Physical Therapy from New York University in 2017 and BA in Dance from Hunter College in 2014. Marianna is from Upstate New York. She danced her entire life and studied many forms of dance. Through dancing, she found love and appreciation for the human body and knew from an early age she wanted to become a Physical Therapist. In her undergraduate career she was able to complete her Physical Therapy related courses while performing and choreographing dance works at Hunter College. During her time in graduate school, Marianna received her CSCS and Pelvic 1 Certification through Herman & Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute.
After graduate school, Marianna practiced physical therapy in the Performing Arts for 3 years and worked mostly with those on Broadway. She is experienced in advanced manual skills, diverse therapeutic exercises and modalities such as cupping, IASTM and taping. Marianna is also a Certified Yoga Instructor and is certified with Yoga Alliance. Marianna incorporates all of her skills when working with her patient/clients.
During Marianna’s free time, she is fond of taking yoga and dance classes, stand-up paddle boarding, hiking, swimming, reading, taking PT related courses and playing with her dog Kuma.
