Louise’s quest for self-care led her to complete her yoga teacher training, in which the anatomy module was lead by a very knowledgeable LMT. After completing her teacher training, she enrolled in school full time in order to learn the craft, art and science of massage therapy. Louise graduated from the Swedish Institute College of Health Sciences. Both during school and post-graduation, she was active in participating and administrating post-event sports massage. From the NYC Marathon, to triathlons, to even landing an externship with the NFL Giants, she gained valuable hands-on experience treating clients with a sports focus.
Louise’s work focuses on active release, myofascial release, tense and relax techniques, and breath work. She believes in holding space for the client to release tension in the body and facilitate in their own healing process.
Louise has always lived an active lifestyle, doing everything from running all-season track, playing lacrosse, swimming, fencing training and now most recently, martial arts and powerlifting. She understands the yearning for movement that resides in the body. Her goals for the future include competing in powerlifting and obtaining her doctorate in physical therapy.
