Lesly earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Brenau University in Gainesville, Georgia 50 miles northeast of Atlanta, and received his Bachelor of Sciences from Columbus State University in Columbus, Georgia. Lesly was a part of the 2nd class to graduate from Brenau University as a newly instituted DPT program. While at Brenau, Lesly presented his capstone on Psychological and Musculoskeletal Assessments for Injury Prevention.
Lesly is from Jamaica Queens, New York, but grew up in Atlanta, Georgia. Lesly moved back to New York City after he completed his doctorate in physical therapy. Lesly has clinical experience in orthopedics, sports rehabilitation, home care, neurological rehabilitation, and acute rehabilitation. Lesly uses proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation (PNF), treatment-based classification (TBC), McKenzie technique, and manual therapy mobilizations in his quality centered care. Lesly values educating his patients and incorporating their goals to individualize their plan of care.
In addition to treating patients, Lesly has a passion for mentoring aspiring minority physical therapists and advocating for the profession. Lesly’s hobbies include working out, listening to music, reading inspiring books, and sports.
