Lauren graduated from Columbia University with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science and Dance from Skidmore College. During her graduate education, she presented a master class to her peers and professors in graduate school that explored Sacroiliac Joint Dysfunction in Dancers, with an emphasis on current research and differentiating between pain and dysfunction. She has experience working with a variety of populations, including geriatrics, pediatric orthopedics, post-op patients (in both an outpatient and a sub-acute setting), and Broadway performers.
Dance has always been a part of Lauren’s life, beginning at the age of 2 and continuing through graduate school. She has professional dance experience, performing in NYC with Alaine Handa Dance Company, as well as performing with Disney Cruiselines. In addition, she has leadership experience as co-president of Dance Haven, an all-inclusive, student-run club at Columbia University Medical Campus.
In her free time, Lauren likes to bake, ride her bike around town, read, spend time with her family, and go to concerts and dance performances. She is also learning how to play tennis!
