Kathy earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine after receiving her Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from Indiana University.
Kathy was born and raised in Valparaiso, Indiana, where she began her athletic career at the young age of 2. She began training as a gymnast and later added track and field to her repertoire. After finishing her undergraduate studies, she moved to Chicago to pursue a job in pharmaceutical and biomedical advertising. A few years later, she realized something was missing from her career. She then returned to her passion of helping people and the love of human movement by pursuing a career as a physical therapist.
Kathy’s clinical experience includes orthopedics, neuromuscular and subacute rehabilitation, athletic injury treatment and prevention, and return to sport. She enjoys working with people of all ages from young adults to the geriatric population. Her future career goals include expanding her training in pelvic floor and women’s health physical therapy. Her passion as a physical therapy clinician is deeply rooted in her desire to help patients reach their personal goals and provide them with education on how the body moves. Kathy believes that education is an integral part of the healing process.
In her free time, Kathy enjoys baking, being outdoors, hiking, boating, traveling, and wanting to rescue every puppy she sees.
