Katherine Mazza Cadena, PT, DPT
Katherine received her Doctor of Physical Therapy from Florida International University. Prior to pursuing physical therapy, Katherine attended the University of Miami where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology, minoring in psychology and biology, and a Masters in Nutrition.
Katherine has worked with a variety of patients in both outpatient and acute settings where she acquired clinical experience treating general orthopedic conditions such as pre and post-surgical patients, scoliosis, cervical pain, lumbar dysfunction as well as athletes returning to sport. She has also gained experience utilizing several different therapeutic treatment techniques such as Schroth Method therapy for scoliosis, LSVT-Big treatment, Blood Flow Restriction training, Graston technique, cupping and has a certification in Kinematic Taping Concepts (KTCC). Katherine has been involved with treatment for patients in cardiac, respiratory, neurological, trauma, intensive care, and COVID-19 units where she collaborated alongside a multidisciplinary team to implement the best course of treatment and help patients to achieve their goals. She feels fulfilled in being able to provide her patients with the tools to regain their independence and return to what they love to do. Katherine prides herself in providing compassionate care by aiding her patients to integrate lifestyle changes in order to make a lasting impact on each patient’s wellbeing.
Born and raised in Puerto Rico, Katherine grew up by the ocean boating and scuba diving, and has become an avid kiteboarder. In her free time she enjoys maintaining an active lifestyle through yoga, weightlifting, and running, as well as listening to live music, traveling, and spending time with her friends and family.
