Kate graduated with honors from the State University of New York, Downstate Health Sciences University, where she earned her Master of Occupational Therapy degree. She is a recipient of the Outstanding Service to the Occupational Therapy Program, as well as the Downstate Campus Award for her involvement in various on-campus organizations. Kate received her Bachelor of Arts in Community Studies from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
During her clinical rotations, Kate gained experience treating individuals with a myriad of upper extremity conditions, mental health diagnoses, and neurological disorders. She has experience working in various settings including schools and youth programs, outpatient clinics, nursing homes, hospitals, and wellness centers. Kate’s passion for physical rehabilitation, women’s health, and pelvic floor therapy led her to gain her Pelvic Floor 1 Certification and her vinyasa yoga teacher training certification to better assist patients on their road to recovery. Through a holistic, client-centered approach, Kate is dedicated to helping her clients engage in activities that bring their life meaning to their fullest potential.
Kate values her physical and mental health and enjoys living an active lifestyle. In her spare time, you can find her biking around NYC, dancing salsa, practicing yoga, or spending time with her friends and family.
