Jess earned a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from East Tennessee State University. While attending ETSU, she had the chance to take part in interprofessional education, working in a team-based learning environment with other healthcare professionals. Jess also had the opportunity to present at the APTA’s Education Leadership Conference in 2022 as the author of the accepted poster “Third Year DPT Students’ Preparedness for Practice with Covid-19 Patients.”
She received her undergraduate degree in Exercise Science from The University of Alabama. Jess competed in gymnastics and swimming before beginning her undergraduate studies, and it was during these sports that she discovered her passion for orthopedic and sports physical therapy. While her professional experience involves working in a number of settings, including orthopedics, inpatient rehabilitation, acute care, and critical care units, she had the chance to interact with a diverse patient population of all age ranges. To better assist others in improving their performance, Jess is interested in expanding her skill set within the sports and orthopedic setting.
Born in Atlanta, Georgia Jess is eager to get to know her new home of New York City better. Swimming, working out, and visiting the beach are some of her favorite hobbies.
