Janai Lyons, PT, DPT

Janai is a graduate from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University, where she earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree. During her time at FAMU, Janai was a division 1 track and field athlete for the first two years in the program. She also volunteered at the local high school and in the collegiate athletic training room. Prior to obtaining her DPT, Janai earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology Pre-Physical Therapy from Jackson State University. While at Jackson State University she also was a part of the Division 1 track and field team.

Janai has had great clinical experience throughout her schooling. She was primarily in outpatient orthopedics gaining a foundation in sports rehab, geriatrics and chronic pain. She also had opportunities in outpatient pediatrics and acute care where she developed her knowledge in various pediatric conditions, cardiopulmonary conditions, strokes, TBI and more. 

Janai grew up in Queens, New York where she developed her love for sports and competing at a high level. Growing up, Janai did track and field, basketball and played lacrosse. Janai has a strong interest in Sports Physical therapy. In her free time, Janai enjoys lounging at home, watching a good crime show, being with friends and family, and traveling.
