James earned his Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science with a minor in psychology at Rutgers University New Brunswick before earning his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Arcadia University in Glenside PA. James served as class president in physical therapy school, allowing him to work closely with his peers and faculty to improve his overall class experience and coordinate student run events.

James has completed clinical rotations in multiple settings, gaining experience treating patients with cardiac and pulmonary conditions in a hospital as well as outpatient orthopedics. James enjoys treating patients of all ages with any orthopedic condition and loves working with athletes. He has completed 20 weeks of clinical rotations at Spear between the 30 Broad Street and Union Square 14th street locations before happily returning to work as a full-time physical therapist providing the highest quality, empathetic care to his patients. James’s biggest passion has always been helping others however possible. After multiple shoulder injuries and episodes of physical therapy in high school while playing his most beloved sport baseball, James gained appreciation for the field of physical therapy. It was through these experiences in physical therapy as a patient that his two greatest interests intersected, and he knew this was his calling.

James takes great pride in being born and raised in the great state of New Jersey where he currently resides. James lives in Red Bank NJ and is well-versed in all important New Jersey culture including it’s top beaches, superior pizza selection, breakfast meats, and all things Bruce Springsteen and Bon Jovi. Throughout all of his physical therapy experience thus far, a few pillars have emerged as the most important keys to guide his practice. Continue to always be a lifelong learner and listener. Treat the whole person as an individual, as all patients are so much more than a specific injury or impairment. Last and most importantly, James looks to create an environment for his patients that is compassionate, empathetic and inclusive for everyone. James strongly believes every patient should feel safe, respected and comfortable being exactly who they are at all times. Personally, James loves to watch and play all sports, take long walks, enjoy great food and spend time with his family and friends.
