Helen earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from New York Medical College and her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Toronto, specializing in Physiology. Helen gained her exposure to physical therapy through her mother, who required rehabilitation from a chronic hip injury she sustained more than 20 years ago. Helen’s clinical experiences include a variety of inpatient hospital and outpatient private clinic settings. She has primarily worked with patients with orthopedic and neurological pathologies, but also has experience in areas such as rehab for cardiac and oncology patients.
During the course of her education and practice, she has developed a profound interest in the area of Women’s Health, and more specifically injuries related to the pre- and post-pregnancy periods. Helen hopes to develop her clinical specialty in this area, and also hopes to contribute to the spread of knowledge related to women’s health to the general public.
Born in China, Helen grew up in the beautiful city of Toronto, Canada, and moved to New York City in 2014 to pursue her graduate degree. She loves to travel and enjoys all types of cultural exchanges. In her free time, Helen loves to sing, cook and is also an experienced wedding makeup artist. She stays active through running, hiking and enjoys any activity that is not sitting!
