Heidi earned her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from Columbia University in New York, New York. During her graduate studies, Heidi was actively involved in the Student Occupational Association board and held the position of Social Chair for two years. Prior to her graduate studies, Heidi obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, with honors and the Exceptional Achievement Award in Psychology from Hood College in Frederick, Maryland.
While pursuing her clinical training, Heidi gained experience treating patients with orthopedic injuries as well as in pediatrics where she treated children of various ages and diagnoses. She also has experience working in adult habilitation programs and senior community centers. Heidi was drawn to occupational therapy by her desire to help others achieve tasks and goals that matter most to them. She is passionate about cultivating a safe, comfortable, and fun therapeutic environment that creates a strong therapist-patient relationship and helps patients gain more independence and confidence in their everyday activities. Heidi is excited to be part of Spear’s amazing team of practitioners offering Pelvic Floor Therapy.
Heidi enjoys spending her free time with her family, friends, and dogs. She loves traveling, hiking, exploring the city, and attending any live comedy show, concert, or sporting event.
