Gabby graduated from Stony Brook University with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Throughout her time at Stony Brook, Gabby served as class vice president, helping to coordinate a variety of class events to promote class spirit and inclusion. Additionally, Gabby helped coordinate community service events including beach clean ups and volunteering at multiple injury prevention screenings for baseball players focused on testing range of motion, strength, and coordination.

While in school at Stony Brook for physical therapy, Gabby also worked as an Athletic Trainer for Stony Brook Club sports. Gabby graduated from Towson University with her Bachelor’s Degree in Athletic Training. During her time at Towson, Gabby worked with many collegiate, high school, and middle school athletes, which included sports such as football, basketball, soccer, and lacrosse. As a certified athletic trainer for Stony Brook, Gabby’s roles included providing emergency medical services, first aid, and injury evaluation to a multitude of sports including rugby, soccer, and ultimate frisbee.

Gabby’s initial interest in physical therapy started at the young age of 12 when she suffered a back injury during her competitive gymnastics career.  As a result of that injury, Gabby required physical therapy for many months before she was cleared to return to the gym. Each day in physical therapy was a step closer to returning to the sport she loved and she learned the importance of not only proper rehabilitation but also of injury prevention. Her early interest in sports medicine then became a passion to pursue physical therapy so she could not only help athletes, like she once was, but people of all walks of life to return to the activities they enjoy doing on a daily basis. Throughout her time in Stony Brook her clinical affiliations included sub-acute care but focused heavily on orthopedic outpatient including sports rehabilitation as well as post-operative care.

Gabby loves doing any activity as long as she is surrounded by her friends and family, as spending time with them is super important to her. In her free time, she enjoys weight training, reading books, hiking, watching football, as well as traveling to new places that allow her to explore.
