Frank Crisci earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy at Touro College in Bayshore, NY after earning his Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, CT. Frank’s past clinical experience includes orthopedics, sports rehabilitation, acute/inpatient rehabilitation, and neurological rehabilitation.
Frank completed a research project titled “Teaching Empathy to Health Science Students with a Budget-Friendly Geriatric Stimulator”. The geriatric simulator suit can be utilized as a teaching tool to assist in further development of empathy for older adults in health science students. Students can use first-hand experience to develop future treatment plans and alter their approach to working with older adult patients clinically. Frank was selected for a poster presentation at the TCUS Health Aging Conference. Frank also placed first in the Touro College Research Day 2021 Best Student Posters in the Arts, Humanities, Social, Behavioral, Educational Sciences Category.
Frank enjoys distance running and has successfully completed multiple half marathons with the goal to eventually run the NYC marathon. Frank’s favorite style of training is CrossFit, with a specific interest in kettlebells, gymnastics, endurance exercise, and powerlifting.
