Eugene completed his Master of Science (MS) degree in Occupational Therapy at Columbia University. During his graduate education, his core clinical concentration was in Hand Therapy where he obtained extensive experience treating a wide variety of orthopedic conditions related to pathologies of the Upper Extremity which includes the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder. While pursuing his degree, Eugene also completed an additional clinical affiliation beyond the profession’s requirements in an acute inpatient rehabilitation setting at New York Presbyterian Columbia University Medical Center where he had many opportunities to evaluate and treat high complexity patients with neurological, neurodegenerative, and orthopedic conditions. Upon graduating, Eugene began working full time at Professional Physical Therapy as an Occupational Therapist in Hackensack NJ, specializing in rehabilitation of the Upper Extremity.
Eugene also has experience as a teacher assistant at Long Island University for the custom splint fabrication lab course, and as a teacher assistant at Dominican College for the Kinesiology in OT practice course and the Functional Anatomy and Kinesiology course. Eugene has worked with and received direct mentorship from highly skilled veterans in the field of Upper Extremity Rehabilitation in both New York and New Jersey, and had many opportunities to work with world class doctors specializing in the hand, wrist, forearm, and elbow as well. Eugene joined the Spear Physical Therapy family in November of 2022, and is now a Hand therapist at the W 57th Location.
In his free time, Eugene can be found hiking, rock climbing, spending time with friends and family, or watching sports and movies.
