Elizabeth “Lizzy” Rollo earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from the New York Institute of Technology, where she graduated with honors and was a member of the Alpha Eta National Honor Society.
For her undergraduate studies she attended the University of Delaware where she majored in Exercise Science with a minor in Strength and Conditioning. Lizzy began implementing her academic work to facilitate holistic strength in students as the Head Fitness Specialist in the university gym. This positive experience ultimately led her to become a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, turning her focus to developing programs to reduce injury risk in athletes.
Prior to receiving her DPT, Lizzy worked as a Strength Coach for teams of 12-18 year old female volleyball players. During her clinical experience, Lizzy was exposed to acute care on a cardiac ICU floor, orthopedic/sports injuries and operations as well as school-based pediatrics. These experiences allowed Lizzy to enjoy treating a diverse population of patients and learn that despite the age or level of function of the patient, education is key.
Lizzy was a multi-sport athlete in high school playing volleyball, basketball and lacrosse. She enjoys finding new ways to stay active and get outdoors. In her free time, Lizzy enjoys cooking for her friends and family and searching for new destinations to explore.
