Dylan earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Stony Brook University. During his time at SBU, Dylan took part in the National Dance Institute’s DREAM Project, a week long program that unites children of varying abilities through dance. Dylan received the Distinguished Student Award and the Community Service Award from the Physical Therapy Department for his academic excellence and community outreach. As an undergraduate student at The University of Tampa, Dylan earned his Bachelor of Science in Allied Health with a concentration in Physical Therapy Sciences. At UT, Dylan was a part of the competitive dance team, and a co-founder of the Performing Arts Medicine Society, which provided him the opportunity to attend the International Association for Dance Medicine & Science Annual Conference in 2019.

Dylan has been dancing for over 18 years with training in ballet, contemporary, jazz, hip-hop, and musical theater. Having been injured as a dancer, Dylan was able to experience how beneficial PT was firsthand. However, his physical therapist did not understand much of what dance entailed, making the return to dance process more frustrating. This experience is what ultimately lead him to pursue a career in performing arts physical therapy.

Dylan has clinical experience with diverse populations in outpatient orthopedic settings and inpatient acute care. He also has experience working with many different populations of artists, performers, and dancers from his clinical internship at SPEAR Physical Therapy – Times Square. Dylan continues to teach dance, giving him a unique opportunity to combine PT interventions and dance technique to promote injury prevention throughout the dance community.

When Dylan has free time, you can find him dancing, exploring new coffee shops, doing yoga or spending quality time with family and friends.
