Donald Zerio received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from The University of St Augustine in Florida. Don earned his undergraduate degree in Kinesiology with a minor in Sport Nutrition from University of Connecticut in Storrs, Connecticut. He grew up playing various sports including swimming, diving, and baseball.
Don developed a passion for resistance training and enjoys rehabilitating gym and sports-related injuries, as well as tendon pathologies and post-surgical cases. He uses his experience as a personal trainer to develop unique and individualized exercise programs for his patients. Don assisted in starting Spear’s Transitional Care service and was originally a rehab technician at the 84th Street and 57th Street locations prior to attending physical therapy school.
In his free time, Don enjoys strength training, hiking, golfing, and cooking. He loves playing all types of intramural sports, his favorite position being the center fielder for his Central Park Softball team, Slug Lyfe.
