After first earning her Bachelor’s Degree in Dance from Colorado State University, Debra moved to the big apple to pursue her dreams of performing on Broadway. She spent the next several years auditioning and performing, while also studying to become a personal trainer. Once Debra realized she could offer even more in order to help people improve their bodies, she decided to go back to school. She earned her Associate’s Degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant from LaGuardia Community College in Long Island City, Queens.

Debra has always been very active and because of her long time participation in dance, she has also experienced several injuries to her body. These injuries along with the need to expand her knowledge for helping others has been the driving force behind her passion for learning about the body. She’s interested in learning not only how to help the body overcome any setbacks, but also how to help the body to perform optimally in order to avoid injuries. Debra has spent time working in both inpatient as well as outpatient clinics, which has given her the inspiration to continue to grow as a PTA.

In her free time, Debra likes to workout at the gym and enjoys creating new programs that will challenge her body in a safe and effective way.  She enjoys yoga, salsa dancing, and cooking healthy meals. Debra is also a competitive pool player who loves the mental and physical challenges of the game.
