Dean earned his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Montana in Missoula. He has clinical experience in orthopedic and sports outpatient settings as well as neurological sub-acute rehabilitation, with a focus on a manual and exercise-based approach to treatment. Dean has particular interest in working with athletes all across the lifespan, and hearing every patient’s story. Dean has a history of participation in sport at the high school, collegiate club and post-graduate levels.
Growing up in Alaska, he earned varsity letters in Nordic skiing and all-conference honors in baseball. During his undergraduate and graduate studies, Dean was a member of the Cycling club and Nordic ski club as well as a 3-year captain of the Montana State Ultimate team. These athletic pursuits give Dean a unique perspective into the physical requirements of a wide variety of sports, allowing him to better serve his patients.
When not helping others reach their goals in the clinic, Dean stays active by continuing to compete at the highest level of club Ultimate, working out, hiking, skiing, and spending time with his significant other Laura exploring the sights and sounds (and foods) of NYC.
