David Jung received his Doctor of Physical Therapy from SUNY Downstate Medical Center and his undergraduate degree in Biology from CUNY College of Staten Island. David is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and is also certified in Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA). He gained experience in orthopedic, neurological, and pediatric populations with autism throughout his clinical rotations.
David served five years in the US Navy as an aircraft mechanic after high school and gained valuable experience that accelerated his growth while traveling between different parts of the world. He also experienced his first physical therapy treatment in the Navy for a back injury, which sparked his interest in physical therapy.
David’s interest in exercise and the way the body moves allows him to carefully evaluate and create customized plans of care that aim to improve functional movement and quality of life. He believes that building a strong rapport with the patient is a critical element in achieving success and continues to make every effort to improve the patient experience.
David enjoys rock climbing, cycling, working out, snowboarding, bowling, traveling, and cooking during his time off. He is also a big coffee connoisseur and enjoys roasting and drinking coffee.
