Courtney earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Stony Brook University and her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from SUNY-Geneseo where she was a member of the women’s varsity volleyball team. While at Stony Brook, Courtney was recognized by the faculty as the recipient of the Award for General Excellence and received the Distinguished Student Award voted for by her classmates.
Courtney has been avidly involved in athletics from a young age. During her collegiate career, she was first exposed to physical therapy while rehabbing from a shoulder injury. However, Courtney’s interest in physical therapy began while working as a rehabilitation aide in a hospital-based clinic and seeing the positive impact physical therapy has on clients’ lives. She gained her clinical experience in the acute care, acute rehab, outpatient orthopedic, and neurological rehabilitation settings. In addition, she participated in fall prevention screenings in her community and volunteered for the NYC marathon to provide post-race care. Her clinical interests include orthopedics, post-operative rehab, fall prevention screening, athletic injury prevention, and return to sport training. Courtney is also certified in LSVT BIG for Parkinson’s Disease.
Courtney was born and raised on Long Island, NY and enjoys exploring New York City. Outside of the clinic, Courtney stays active through running, weightlifting, and volleyball. In her free time, she enjoys going to concerts and Broadway shows, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
