Carlene Scaravaglione, OTD, OTR/L
Carlene earned her Doctorate of Occupational Therapy from Tufts University. During her studies, she received an Advanced Certificate in Hand and Upper Extremity, which continued to grow her passion for hand therapy. She was also involved in the Student Occupational Therapy Association where she assumed the role of co-treasurer. For her undergraduate degree, Carlene received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a minor in Psychology from Marist College.
Throughout her clinical fieldwork, Carlene gained experience working with patients in an outpatient orthopedic and musculoskeletal setting as well as a short-term rehabilitation and long-term nursing facility. In addition, Carlene’s doctoral experiential capstone project was centered on implementing and evaluating ways to maximize inclusive recreation at a summer youth program. Carlene is passionate about developing a strong rapport with her patients to help them engage in their meaningful daily activities and reach their goals.
During her free time, you can find Carlene spending time with family and friends, trying new restaurants, and traveling. She also enjoys staying active by running with the goal of completing the NYC marathon one day!
