Bishoy earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy and Bachelor of Science in Biology from Seton Hall University in South Orange, NJ. His passion for physical therapy began in high school, seeing the impact it had on individuals recovering from injuries and how it helped get them back to doing the things they love. During his time at Seton Hall, Bishoy was able to work as a graduate assistant, proctoring open labs for first year doctorate students to enhance their hands-on skills. Bishoy was also inducted into the National Scholastic Honor Society for the Allied Health Professionals for academic excellence.
Throughout his clinical rotations Bishoy gained experience in multiple outpatient settings, working with a wide range of patient population including orthopedic, neurological, and vestibular conditions. He was also able to train under Orthopedic Clinical Specialists where he expanded his knowledge in manual skills as well as movement analysis; he now implements this into his daily practice. He also has experience in the sub-acute setting where he worked with a team of healthcare professionals to treat patients with cardiac conditions, neurological conditions, post-surgical orthopedic cases, as well as pre and post prosthetic training for patients with amputations. Bishoy’s goals include furthering his manual skills while becoming an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist.
During his free time, Bishoy enjoys spending time with friends and family, playing basketball, going to the beach, and trying new food spots around NJ and NY.
