Amy Almeida, LMT, PTA
Amy is a NYC native, born and raised in Queens. She recently moved to the Upper West Side and spends her downtime exploring the area. Her professional career began in 2011, when she obtained her license for massage therapy. While helping others heal and recover, she realized there were limitations to her skill set and ultimately sought out education to become a physical therapist assistant. She continues to combine both modalities and excitedly attends CE classes to optimally assist her patients in their rehabilitation. Her love and passion in this field fuels her patient oriented mindset, as well as educating them to be better advocates in their healthcare. Her favorite treatments include manual therapy, cupping [with movement], IASTM, core strengthening, and balance/gait training. When not working, Amy loves to try new recipes in the kitchen, take walks in the park, resistance training in the gym, and travel to different states to enjoy nature and scenery. She’s also a Knicks and Mets fan – you might catch her spectating at a game at MSG or Citi Field.
