Amar Barot earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Wheeling University and earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science and Sports Studies from Rutgers University. Amar discovered his passion for physical therapy while serving as a student trainer for athletes at Rutgers University and from shadowing a physical therapist.
During his clinical rotations, Amar treated a wide variety of patients, from high-level athletes returning to sport, to post-operative patients wanting to get back to full strength. Amar enjoys utilizing evidence-based practice, manual therapy, strength training, and functional mobility as his go-to treatment approaches. He believes treatment should be done in a way that can be not only challenging but enjoyable to his patients.
When Amar is not treating patients, he stays active with weightlifting and playing pick-up basketball. During his free time, he enjoys traveling, listening to music, and spending time with friends and family. Amar grew up close to the coast, so in the summer you can catch him at the closest beach.
