Alexis earned her Bachelors in Life Science and Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the New York Institute of Technology through the school’s accelerated combined BS/DPT program. During her time there, she dedicated 6 years as a volunteer for Rock Steady Boxing- an organization that provides health and wellness services to help people who are “fighting back” against Parkinson’s Disease. As a student, she also helped establish the NYIT DIII Open Ultimate Frisbee Team which she formerly captained, and now coaches.

As a lifelong athlete in sports such as swimming, wrestling, ultimate frisbee, weightlifting, and climbing, Alexis uses her experiences in these sports in her practice. She enjoys treating orthopedic populations with an emphasis on exercise, empowerment, and promotion of self-reliance to help patients achieve their goals and get back to the activities that are meaningful to them. Her involvement in the ultimate frisbee community continues to grow, as she now also serves as a physical therapist for the New York Empire- the men’s professional ultimate frisbee team for New York and 3x champions in the American Ultimate Disc League.

During her free time, Alexis loves to stay active through weightlifting, playing ultimate frisbee, and climbing! You’ll probably also find her scoping out the local Boba shops or making (and eating!) charcuterie boards.
