Alan graduated from LaGuardia Community College with his Associate Degree in Applied Science. He moved to the United States in 2019 from Scotland and completed the Physical Therapist Assistant Program at LaGuardia after a successful career as a professional football (soccer) player in Europe.

Alan’s clinical experience includes rotations in both outpatient and inpatient clinics.  He worked with patients with varying conditions, including knee and hip replacements as well as patients recovering from traumatic brain injuries and strokes.  Alan understands the ups and downs of the rehabilitation process following an injury, having undergone multiple surgeries due to sports injuries himself.

After a sixteen-year-long career in soccer and having enjoyed his experience while working with Physical Therapists throughout that time, Alan knew that a career in physical therapy was the perfect second career for him.  He is an avid follower of European football (soccer), and is also learning to embrace American sports, including his wife’s beloved Yankees. In his spare time, Alan enjoys traveling, playing sports, and hiking upstate with his wife and two dogs.
