Vivek was born and raised in Queens, NY and received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Touro College, as well as a Master’s degree in Communication from Iona College, and his bachelor’s degree in Journalism from the University of Connecticut.
After completing his Doctorate program, Vivek has practiced in an outpatient setting for the last 9 years while treating a wide range of cases including athletes, non-operative, post-operative, and neurological conditions. He believes in the ‘tool-box approach’ of using a combination of different methods while emphasizing corrective exercises. Additionally, he has advanced certifications in his two favorite sports: baseball (HSS Overhead Athlete) and Golf (TPI Level 2 in Golf Fitness). Vivek believes that having fun and enjoying yourself while rehabilitating is part of the healing process as well. He gets a lot of satisfaction hearing from his patients about improvements that they are making as well as goals that they have reached.
During his free time, Vivek enjoys cooking, playing golf, racquetball, softball, and spending time with his family. Additionally, Vivek grew up playing a wide range of sports such as basketball, baseball, soccer (Buckley Country Day School and Windsor School) competitive swimming for the Flushing Flyers, and was on UConn’s ski team.
