Tuanny earned her Master of Science from the Federal University of São Paulo and her Bachelor’s in Physical Therapy from the Pontifical Catholic University of Campinas, Brazil. She also completed a 2-year adult acute care physical therapy residency. During her studies, she contributed to scientific research and authored a published study focusing on critically ill patients in the ICU.
Throughout her extensive professional journey in Brazil, Tuanny achieved certification as a Specialist in Acute Care Physical Therapy. In hospital settings, she worked with a diverse patient population, including neurological, pulmonary, cardiological, orthopedic, and pelvic floor patients.
With a commitment to continuous learning, Tuanny is now pursuing certification as a pelvic floor physical therapy specialist through the American Physical Therapy Association. She leverages her international education and diverse experiences to embrace healthcare’s cultural and socioeconomic diversity. This background fosters her ability to connect with people and value their stories, which is reflected in her patient-centered approach as a physical therapist.
Outside work, Tuanny enjoys exploring new places, appreciating the arts, traveling, reading, dancing, and spending quality time with loved ones and her dog, Caju.
