Tony received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Dominican College and his Bachelor of Arts degree in Emergency Management with a minor in Health and Wellness Education from John Jay College. During his undergraduate studies, he trained in the college’s Karate Club, in which he holds a second-degree black belt.
Tony’s clinical experience includes inpatient acute care and outpatient rehabilitation, where he gained exposure to treating neurological and vestibular conditions, post-operative injuries, and chronic pain. Driven by his martial arts experience, Tony holds a high standard for human movement and performance optimization and adapts this standard to his therapy treatment. To continuously improve his therapy skills, Tony is currently pursuing a certification in Tai Chi for Rehabilitation. He hopes to combine eastern philosophy and western practices to create a holistic approach towards patient care.
Born and raised in NYC, Tony likes to explore different neighborhoods with a mission to find the best dollar pizza. Outside of work, Tony enjoys an active lifestyle and continues to practice martial arts. In addition to Karate, he has been training in Kung Fu (Wing Chun) since 2009 and Tai Chi (Chen Style) since 2016.
