When Richard was 15 years old, he suffered a spinal fracture in his neck that changed the course of his life. The long road through rehabilitation opened his eyes to the power of physical therapy and inspired him to help others regain strength and quality of life. That experience became the foundation for his professional journey. Richard earned his Bachelor’s degree in Exercise and Movement Sciences from Missouri State University, and later completed his Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Southwest Baptist University, graduating with top honors.
Professionally, Richard is dedicated to restoring people’s ability to move and function confidently through biomechanical retraining, movement analysis, and individualized care. His clinical experience includes advanced work with vestibular and concussion rehabilitation, runners recovering from overuse injuries, and patients working to improve balance, prevent falls, and build strength. He also holds certifications in manual therapy, instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization, and RockTape application. Richard believes movement is the best medicine and focuses on helping every patient develop strength, stability, and long-term confidence in what their body can achieve.
Outside the clinic, Richard lives what he teaches. He enjoys staying active through weightlifting, running, hiking, and exploring the outdoors with his wife and their dog, Marli. Together, they love traveling and finding new trails and experiences. His goal is to continue providing the highest level of care to every patient to help them reach goals and the best quality of life. Richard looks forward to helping each person not only recover but also rediscover what it means to live life in motion.
