Rem received his Bachelor’s degree in Health Professions and Doctor of Physical Therapy through the accelerated DPT program at Temple University. He first became interested in the profession while rehabbing from a hamstring injury. During his volunteer experiences in outpatient clinics he was able to see firsthand the benefits of consistent and patient-first care, which ignited his passion.
During his time at Temple University, Rem acted as student clinical director of their pro-bono clinic, where he treated members of the Northern Philadelphia community. This experience showed him the importance of understanding the people he is treating and how the environments they live in affect their health, leading him to presenting research about the methods used at his pro-bono clinic to analyze Social Determinants of Health at the APTA 2024 Combined Sections Meeting. During his clinical experiences Rem treated high school athletes, orthopedic outpatient and neurological inpatient, giving him the knowledge to treat diverse populations. He also remained an active member of the Taekwondo club throughout college.
Rem’s greatest interests are in orthopedic and sports rehab. As a clinician he values connecting with his clients, building treatment plans specific to their needs, and giving them the confidence and support needed to achieve their goals. Rem hopes to to use his knowledge and skills to advocate for healthcare equity for all. When he is not in the clinic, Rem loves to lift weights, play basketball, practice martial arts, travel, watch sports and play video games.
