Purvi graduated with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Long Island University and Bachelors in Allied Health Sciences with a minor in Psychology from the University of Connecticut. During her final year of doctoral studies, Purvi spent time conducting a systematic review related to treatment interventions for carpal tunnel syndrome.
Purvi spent ¾ of her clinical affiliations in outpatient orthopedic settings and has experience treating various orthopedic conditions such as chronic neck and back pain, post operative shoulder and knee cases, as well as a variety of hip and ankle disorders. She believes in building strong self-efficacy in her patients to achieve maximal functional independence, via the biopsychosocial approach. She is passionate about making her patients the strongest they can be, mentally and physically!
Purvi has been studying a variety of dance forms including Kathak, ballet, and ballroom for over 20 years and when she is not in the clinic, you can find her taking dance classes, running, and playing pickleball.
