Michelle received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences after obtaining her Bachelor’s of Science in Biology from Mount St. Mary College. During her undergraduate studies, Michelle was a member of the women’s soccer team and volunteered with multiple groups such as Aging Youth Nursing Home.
Michelle began as a rehabilitation technician at Spear’s 57th St. location prior to attending graduate school. She was promoted to Director of Technician Operations, where she oversaw daily activities for her rehabilitation technician team. Michelle also attended companywide meetings to assist with housekeeping and leadership opportunities. Collaborating with SPEAR, Michelle assisted in creating events to help give aspiring physical therapists access to information and guidance as they prepared to apply to their dream schools.
Growing up as an athlete, Michelle took an interest in physical therapy at a young age from being a patient herself. Having gone through the experience herself, Michelle understands the physical and mental challenges that come with an injury. Michelle utilizes her clinical experience in orthopedics, post-operative injuries, sports rehabilitation, and neuro-rehabilitation to tailor exercises specifically to her patients and help them reach their goals!
In her spare time, Michelle stays enjoys playing in co-ed adult soccer leagues, hiking, traveling, dog watching, and spending time with her family and friends.
