Michael earned his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of St. Augustine in Miami. He obtained his bachelor’s degree in biology from his hometown, New York City, from The City College of New York.
Prior to joining Spear, Michael worked in a Skilled Nursing Facility treating patients with complex medical diagnoses including strokes, cardiorespiratory diseases, and age-related movement disorders. Michael later worked at an outpatient physical therapy clinic treating post-op joint replacements, ligament repairs, and those affected by neurological conditions. Michael takes pride in tailoring physical therapy services to meaningful and functional goals to promote a safe return to movement.
Outside of work, Michael enjoys running in Central Park, spending time with his Corgi, and finding books to grow his collection. Michael is excited to expand his New York roots and explore hiking trails in the tri-state area. Professionally, Michael is interested in engaging in hand therapy, with neurological conditions, and individuals returning to sports from injury.
