Melissa earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Kean University and her Bachelor of Science degree from Syracuse University, where she graduated Cum Laude in Health and Exercise Science. Melissa’s interest in the power of movement was piqued while dancing starting at a young age and later led to her desire to become a Physical Therapist.
Melissa obtained clinical experience in outpatient orthopedics, post-operative rehabilitation, vestibular rehabilitation, and acute and chronic neurologic rehabilitation. During her graduate studies, Melissa had the opportunity to work alongside her professors as a Graduate Assistant helping with their research projects. Their research focused on patients with post-operative knee replacements and pediatric inter-professional care.
Melissa is inspired by her patients and their journeys back to prior function. She intends to continue to develop her clinical education in both sports and neurologic rehabilitation. Melissa grew up in New Jersey, outside of Philadelphia, and recently relocated to New York City. When she is not in the clinic, Melissa enjoys hiking, yoga, Pilates, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
