Megan is a compassionate, empathetic and dedicated physical therapist who earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from The College of Staten Island and her Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from the University of Scranton. Throughout all four years of her undergraduate studies, Megan competed at the NCAA Division III level in Cross Country and Track & Field. Having these experiences in athletics instilled vital components that she uses in practice on a daily basis.
Throughout her graduate years, she gained a depth of knowledge from various clinical settings including pelvic health, acute inpatient rehabilitation and outpatient orthopedics. Megan completed her pelvic health clinical in Los Angeles, California where she found her passion for treating in the women’s health field. This clinical, along with her own personal health struggles, motivated Megan to not only strive to deliver the most holistic care to her patients but continue to advocate for those who are unable to receive the help they deserve. Megan gained extensive knowledge in the acute care setting treating patients in critical care units, inpatient neurological rehabilitation and aiding in care post open heart surgery. Her most memorable and rewarding time was spent with the neurological population where she provided care for those with diagnoses including parkinson’s, multiple sclerosis, guillain barre and glioblastoma. There, she gained confidence as a clinician and helped patients regain strength to get back to their activities of daily living.
Megan has a deep rooted passion for athletes, specifically runners. Due to personal physical health setbacks in high school, Megan used running as an outlet and passion to regain self confidence and strength. Continuing to compete at a collegiate level has made Megan adequate in not only helping athletes regain their confidence in their sport but feel stronger to face any adversities that may come their way. Because of these experiences, Megan is able to resonate with her patients and provide an empathetic approach that provides a collaborative environment enhancing client’s recovery.
When she is not in the clinic, Megan enjoys finding the next best book to read, the best yoga sculpt/pilates studio in NYC, runs in central park, and testing different cafes in hunt for the best matcha latte.
